I was born in the United States Virgin Islands and came to Canada with my mother, who was Canadian, and sister in 1975. We moved to the Niagara Region from Toronto in 1981. As an active member of the community I have participated in many of the cultural festivals and celebrations. I am a musician and have enjoy singing in many choirs.

I first became interested in psychotherapy as a profession as a pre-teen when I noticed that people liked to talk to me about many issues.  I grew up in a home where social conscience and community activism was encouraged.  My family routinely assisted individuals and families to improve their life in a variety of ways.  I came to value the life I had and what I could offer others and have always admired the tenacity and resiliency of the human spirit.

I have worked in many capacities in social services and as an MSW continue to grow my own practice and skills.  I prefer a casual, personal and professional approach that encourages others to dig deeper within, become self aware and assured, and (re)install the skills and resiliency to move on happier people.  I operate from a perspective of equity and use many traditional and nontraditional skills/approaches to achieve the final positive outcome.  As an intuitive practitioner I pay attention to verbal and nonverbal cues and respond with questions based on that.

I am an experienced clinician and thus offer the latest therapy modalities in a private and supportive setting. I am continually attending professional development workshops and training.  I am committed to on-going research and learning in order to meet the variety of needs of all of my clients.  My services are not covered under insurance however I’m happy to discuss your needs and budget in person.

I work with Individuals, couples, triads, quads, families, and groups with a variety of issues such as trauma, relationship, sexual and gender diversity. I have particular passion, experience and training working with LGBTTTIQ, Polyamorous (Couples, Triads, Quads, etc.), and BDSM.  I am also Part time Faculty teaching in the Social Service Worker program at Niagara College Welland Campus.
